88-unit renovation program addressing major deferred maintenance including plumbing, electrical, roof, siding,
HVAC, and fire sprinkler repairs. Work included significant exterior upgrades and interior renovations completed
on an accelerated timeline.
Before & Afters
Vedomi Construction is nearing completion of a comprehensive renovation program at Retreat at Lake Highlands, a
127-unit Class B garden-style apartment community in Dallas. The scope includes exterior CapEx repairs,
foundation work, electrical system upgrades, and value-add interior renovations completed as units become vacant
to support ongoing leasing operations.
Key improvements include replacing Zinsco electrical panels—a known fire hazard—to improve property safety and
long-term asset value, along with exterior brick repair and paint, concrete and sidewalk repairs, and the addition of a
new on-site playground. Select one-bedroom units were also reconfigured into two-bedroom layouts to support higher
rents and increased NOI.
